Howdy, I am Nathan Cromer
I am a designer and illustrator. I largely work with brand management, publications, marketing materials, web/app design and development, and logo design. I am also fond of digital and photo illustration with a splash of traditional, as well as photo editing/restoration.
A professional
I have been designing and illustrating for over 10 years and currently am a graphic and web designer at the American Institute of Physics. My goals are simple: to create an efficient system and/or product to deliver the message you want to send. I have a variety of design and development skills including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, AfterEffects, HTML, CSS, Javascript, and some 3D modeling. I currently live outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, but have no issues moving and seeing the world.
An eternal student
I love to learn and often find myself spending my time absorbing knowledge from a variety of outlets (love that random button on wikipedia). This tends to lead me to using my free time researching a variety of materials for inspiration and bettering my work. Having originally spent over 3 years studying chemistry and robotics, I have always lived by the scientific method and that rules exist for reasons. Due to this, I end up doing a lot of technical research in almost everything I do to make sure I don't overlook any specifications for any given project, but I am not afraid of trying new things and pushing boundaries for progress.
AN avid enjoyer of life
In addition to designing and coding, my passions include all types of games, cartoons, discovering new things, reading, rock/metal music, sitting on the front porch doing nothing, festivals/conventions, murder mysteries, British comedy, and random/quirky facts. I also pride myself on my knowledge of children's animated movies and how high pitched my voice gets when I talk to cats and dogs. All cats and dogs are puppies and kittens... all of them.
A freelancer
I am currently also available for freelance work. If you have questions about my work or me, just drop me a line. If you are looking to get a project of the ground such as websites, visual identity, or promotional material, feel free to contact me and I am sure we can work something out, so hit up my contact page.
